How do I get to Stamford School?

The nearest airport is Stansted, which is well served by trains and other modes of public transport. London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports are also very well connected.

The nearest rail station to Stamford School is Stamford, with direct routes to and from Birmingham, Stansted airport, and Cambridge. Trains run direct between Peterborough and London Kings Cross.

What time would I need to arrive on 3 August?

The course will begin in the early afternoon; we recommend arriving in time to get settled in and find some lunch, e.g. around noon.

What happens on the last day? When should I plan to leave?

There will be a public concert on the evening of 9 August, after which the course disperses. We are unable to provide accommodation that night, but will be happy to assist you with finding somewhere to stay if needed.

What about travel insurance / insurance for my instrument?

You will be required to demonstrate that you have travel insurance in order to take part in the course. Arranging and paying for it is your responsibility.

What languages will be spoken on the course?

English will be used in all communications about the course, and on the course itself.
